Hello,
We don't have plans to translate the Mod Tool into German at the moment, unfortunately. It really comes down to a matter of demand.
I'll let one of the devs speak as far as how to modify the language files.
Thanks,
Leo

thx for u help.
In my opinion comes the demand with the language, i know a lot of people who prefers in private use, or in office the german language for applications.
i think its not different to other countries, its easier for beginners to learn and for professionals to use.
i know Softimage has fabulous software, but some competitior are in german only such effective in small business or private area because of native language user interface, maybe it is not the target group (audience?).
i know that in some professional areas are english prefered, but there where it is available they use native language too.
So i think it would be a nice (unsupported) feature, that people can translate the applications in their own native language, if its possible, with an application or "easy to use" textfiles.

Hello,
which application i need to translate these files?
And are these files compatible with XSI Softimage Foundation?
(because i save my money to buy it and if these are compatible i can translate the mod-tool and put it later to foundation, if it allowed)

The language can't be modified with existing external tools, at present. In the source code there is a dictionary file that gets encrypted at build time and generates the necessary files for translation.
As Leo mentioned it comes down to demand.
Contact Support@softimage.com and let then know of your interest in this project.
Also FYI the dictionary files are mostly portable to other flavors of XSI. However if the versions of XSI are different (newer) some strings obviously will not have the proper translation and will appear in English or with the word 'Translate me'. :)
