When will Foundation be updated?

Quick question. Are we likely to see an update to Foundation to bring it up to 6.5 *before* XSI Foundation 7?

No. 6.5 was more about Essentials (Hair et al now included) and Advanced (5 batch licenses now included).

Thanks for the info - that seems reasonable enough. Granted that nothing '7' shaped has been announced, but historically speaking, what is the release delay between say Advanced and Foundation when it comes to a *significant* version number rev?

I don't remember there being a delay, but keep in mind, you have to buy XSI all over again for FND, so that delays it a bit compared to those on contract and who go to their user account and download it.

I think that's always been the case.
If you upgrade to ess or adv within the same version (and fnd 6 is fine up to 6.5) the cost of fnd is usually shaven off your purchase.

Whether it will be possible to upgrade from fnd6 to ess7 depends whether Soft decides to have some promotional offer or something like that, but it's not guaranteed.
