View Full Version : Does the X file exporter in Mod Tool support textures?

I've just started using Mod Tool with the intention of using it to create models for my XNA Studio 2 based game.

The problem is that as a quick test I decided to create a simple textured sphere and disaply it in my game engine. So, I created a sphere and applied a texture and tried to export it as an X file.... however I got the error message saying "Not implement in EXP version".

When I tried the same without the texture it worked fine.

Does ModTool really not support exporting textured models to an X file?

If not then how would I create a textured model for use in my XNA based game? Is that something you can only do in the paid for version?

When using the Mod tool to create content for XNA you need to use the Publish tool in the XNA tool menu..
