This is my first attempt at enveloping and I'm running into a problem.
For some reason the eye objects become distorted when I set an envelope to the eye bones. I noticed that the pink bone on the character's left eye becomes blue after it is enveloped (shouldn't it stay pink?). Initially I applied an envelope to the whole character all at once...but when I ran into this eye problem I deleted the eyes and eye bones and started over, reimporting new eyes and reenveloping them but with the same results.
I don't wish to envelope everything over again because I have done a considerable amount of weighting. I'm sure there must be a simple solution but I can't seem to find it, can anyone help?

Hi,

When an envelope deformer as a pose different then its *referenced pose* , every other object you will assign to will move as if you just move that object. To set a new referenced pose, you do : Envelope - set referenced pose ( the point should move back to teir original positions. To move the deformer back to its reference pose, you can select the mesh an do : Envelope - reset actor.

If you don't want that deformer to be a deformer anymore, you can select the affected mesh and do : Envelope - Remove deformers. Once the object is not a deformer anymore, is reference pose is reseted.

As for the colors, they change everytime you assing a new mesh to it. Blue beeing the color on the first deformer picked. You can change the colors of the deformers in the weight paint panel.

*referenced pose* is the pose that the deformer had the first time you choose it to become a deformer. It remembers is as long as anyone uses it as a deformer.

I hope I'm not confusing.
