View Full Version : how do i zero out the origin of a mesh

i put too much detail in title's

how would i go about restoring an objects global position to 0,0,0 or indeed just assigning my own custom global position.

to clarify i don't mean move the mesh i mean lock the global transform controls to the point specified.

it was easy in blender. it appears very difficult in xsi

very simple indeed. transform->freeze translation
or in your select panel, press center, then you can translate the mesh's center to where you need. You may need to activate child compensation if your mesh has kids.
