Jean,
A camera projection acts a bit like a slide projector. You're basically projecting a texture image onto scene objects from the point of view of a camera.
It's a convenient way to create backgrounds and environments because you can project a nice, detailed image onto pretty simple geometry, as pinnamraj did. You just need to set up the scene, and position the camera to match the source image as closely as possible.

i did try uploading the video but couldnt get it uploaded ,i will psot it in the animation section once i add all the elements [fire,fog ..etc].

How did you change the lighting of the image? Is it something you did in photoshop before camera projection? Or were you able to project it in xsi and mess with the lighting in xsi?

i used photoshop to change the colors. I just have one spot light at the moment and will use some more lights to cast light coming from the particles.U can see a test video at http://community.softimage.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=138&c=7
