Came across this... INSANE i say...

http://bp3.blogger.com/_BK3KEtzHThc/SBIRT8bI4jI/AAAAAAAAAvg/85i75QMLZIs/s320/Autodesk_Maya_mobile.jpg (http://teavuihuang.com/maya/MayaOnTheGo.jar)Tea Vui Huang's Maya On-The-Go mobile phone application lets you draw a NURBS curve by placing CVs. This application lets you draw a NURBS curve by placing CVs. The dotXSI 3.6 files it creates can be imported into SOFTIMAGE | XSI 6.5, while the Maya Scene files it creates can be opened / imported into Autodesk Maya Complete & Maya Personal Learning Edition 8.5 on the Windows, Mac OS X & Linux platforms. These NURBS curves can be used as draft sketches to create compelling 3D digital content, including models, animation, visual effects, games, and simulations.

I tried this on my mobile (6300) and I could run it but wasn't able to save the file at the end. You just can set points in one viewport, so basically its just 2D. But still a nice concept. Perhaps it will work in 3D soon

Wow ! How useful is that :whistling:

Na okey, this shows again that mobile phones are becoming faster and faster beeing able to handle quite complex applications. But really, there couldn't be something more useless then this :D

I can maybe see the use of checking a model for approval, etc on your mobile. But the screens will always be tiny compared to laptops, so not usable to work really. No mouse, etc.

For serious work on the go, you'd resort to a laptop anyway.

Funny though.
