Here goes my quest to better understand XSI subDs. Thought the M3's "flame surfacing" would be a good test.

Thanks man! Here are some minor updates, I had some problems with blue prints I was using seemed the proportions at the rear of the car where not matching! I suppose BMW wouldn't actually let accurate blueprints of the M3 float around on the net would they. Anyways I got better ones now and I am ready to roll! :-)

Added the detail on the bumper and the side vent. I must say, I love the Tweak tool, totally indispensable!!

can you post the wires without the sub-wires or whatever they're called. ( Hit "alt" and "+")

Theres a few 5 sides polygons you need to fix, and the edge flow could use a bit of work,

I'm sure to you are talking about the bonnet and door area, there still some more tweaking to come.... while it is good practice to keep quads there are times you just cannot runaway from n-gons. Which is not a real tragedy with XSi as it handles them like a champ!.
BMW's "flame surfacing" is notorious for its mixture of concave and covex surfaces, the idea being the sheet metal must "pool" light, if you look at pic below you have convex surfaces punctuate by hard edges followed by subtle concave surfaces. so at face value the edge flow might seem "odd" but there is a "method to the madness" :-)
