Hi all,

I was so sure that XSI had an option for this but I can't find it - neither in the help files. If I currently import models over from 3DS Max to XSI they are all sideways since in Max the Z-axis is up. I would like to change the up axis in XSI to Z since our game engine runs that way. Any idea where I can check that option?

Thanks a bunch,

Lx

AFAIK this can't be done. I could be wrong...but I think I'm right in saying this.

Cheers,

Yeah, I kind of get the impression it's not possible, either. Mmhh, rewrite a whole game engine or find some work arounds? :sailor:

Usually your exporter doing the conversion, by rotating for 90 degree around X axis, or just by swapping Y an Z values. There are many exporters for Max that converts Maxes Z up to DirectX Y up, so you should be able to find some examples, then just do the opposite, in your case.
