here's a shot of my basicbody, intentionally missing head and hands
so they can be swapped for different races/appearences

however as you can see when i use ultimapper i get dark patches between the legs, i assume this is the distance thing but isn't it calculating that? this is a recurring issue for me several models hit this issue.

i'll shorten up the distance and try again, is the issue caused by the distance passing through the hi poly model or the low poly model? because if it's the lo poly model i'll just hide the left side.

is your UV overlapping in that area?
put the map in the UV editor to look where in the UV this problem is happening and if it's related to it.

the pc died doing a new render of that model so it's no longer an issue.
