Hello All,
Does anyone know if 'http://www.vast.ws' is now dead? I can never seem to view the site anymore. To me me it was my favorite XSI resourse ..

I just checked and it's working for me.
Very Strange... :( It simply will not load for me.. All other sites are fine..
Do you know of any mirrors to this site?

I can't open it too.
I believe the site is there, as my browser seems connecting but somehow turned down.
I have had a few friends also check this site , some with success others cannot access like myself? Could this be an ISP issue?

try again now.
Nope :( Still the same... messge from firefox
The connection has timed out
The server at www.vast.ws is taking too long to respond.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

works for me. using opera and comcast, im in boston Mass
It must be an ISP thing or something cause I just tried to connect with a proxy server and I was able to connect to the site without any problems... Werid... So my normal Uk connection /ISP seems to be blocked or something...

I'm pretty sure that the Softimage Production Series hosted right here on Softimage Net has all the same videos: http://community.softimage.com/forumdisplay.php?f=73
Be aware that they were originally created for version 4.

Strangely, it hasn't...
The original "Production Series" contained more content than has been hosted here: Animation, Simulation, Rendering... These additional chapters were included on the aforementioned VAST-Website...

The site worked first time (and so far, every time) for me - and I'm running Vista / IE7.
I've been told the site is for Americans only? Hmmm.. Very strange..

If you aren't able to get to a particular site because a timeout, while you are able to see it via google translate or some other web proxy; this is a great indicator that your ISP is filtering *at least* DNS from that site, or the IP block they belong too.
If you're on a college campus, or workplace contact your IT department. If you're at home, good luck getting a hold of someone at your broadband provider who can do anything about that. ;)

lol, I read 904 GB and was bummed I didn't have a larger HD.
I've never seen Vast before, so far I've relied on purchasing Digital Tutors Videos, but I'll take all the help I can. :D
